Lagos State Govment don arrest 396 beggars for different parts of the state as part of operation to keep Lagos clean and stop illegal activities.

Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, tok say officials of KAI Corps carry out the exercise.

According to am, dem go profile all the people wey dem arrest, give support where necessary, before handing dem over to relevant authorities make dem fit return safely to their different states.

Wahab add say the operation na part of govment effort to maintain order, improve sanitation and make Lagos cleaner and safer for everybody. He also remind residents say street begging and giving alms to beggars on major highways na offence under Lagos law.
