The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority don talk say popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde wey people sabi as K1 de Ultimate, go dey banned from flying inside Nigeria for six months because of wetin happen for Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection for NCAA, Michael Achimugu, talk this one on Thursday during press briefing. He talk say dem go bring everybody wey dey involved to book. As e dey now, K1 go dey blacklisted for six months from flying for Nigeria.
Achimugu still talk say aviation law na global matter and e dey for safety of everybody. Nobody go dey above the law. Dem go write Attorney General and Inspector General of Police make dem start legal action against K1.
When dem ask whether K1 go escape punishment because e dey close to President Tinubu, Achimugu talk say both Tinubu and Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo dey support rule of law.
Minister Keyamo don order make dem put K1 for no-fly list until investigation finish. He say he don watch video and read reports wey show say both K1 and the aircraft crew no follow safety rules.
Keyamo talk say the whole matter be like hostage situation. He say K1 dey waka up and down for tarmac and block the plane from move go runway. Whether na water or alcohol wey dey the flask no even matter again. Na the blocking of the aircraft be the main wahala.
Keyamo still ask why only the pilot and captain don face punishment. He say wetin apply to goose suppose apply to gander too. So he direct NCAA make dem put K1 for no-fly list like the pilot and captain.
He warn say any airline wey no follow this order fit lose their license.
Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) don confirm say dem dey investigate K1 over violation of aviation security rules. Dem say the incident happen when K1 wan board ValueJet flight go Lagos on August 5. He carry one flask wey get liquid wey dem no gree make e enter plane. Despite warning, K1 no gree and even block the plane from move.
FAAN talk say the flask wey K1 carry get liquid wey pass the 100ml limit wey international aviation law allow. Wahala come start when K1 no gree do extra screening and he pour the liquid wey later dem confirm say na alcohol on top one security officer.
But K1 deny say he do anything wrong. He talk say the report wey dey fly up and down na lie and dem just dey exaggerate the matter.
For statement wey him media aide, Kunle Rasheed, release, K1 talk say the flask na ordinary drinking water wey dem give am for airport lounge. He say he try explain the matter calmly before people begin blow am out of proportion.
The statement talk say K1 no block any aircraft and he no do anything wey fit threaten safety. Dem insist say K1 calm throughout and no act anyhow wey fit put anybody for danger.
Dem even talk say some big oga for airport and airline people reach out to K1 to beg am and even offer private jet make e take go Lagos free of charge.
The statement come end with warning to media and public make dem no dey carry fake gist. Dem say make people wait for truth and no dey judge based on assumption. K1 still be law-abiding citizen and dey cooperate with authorities to settle the matter well.
