Fenerbahce coach, Jose Mourinho, received a four-match ban and a fine of over 40,000 euros from the Turkish football federation after he made comments following an Istanbul derby against Galatasaray.

After the 0-0 draw on Monday, Mourinho said the home bench had been “jumping like monkeys.” He also continued to criticize Turkish referees.

Although Fenerbahce claimed that Mourinho’s comments were taken out of context, the Turkish football federation (TFF) disciplinary council gave him a two-match suspension for his comments against the fourth referee and two additional matches for his remark about the Galatasaray bench.
