Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) don talk say scoring high in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) no mean say you go automatically get admission into Nigerian universities.

JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, talk this one in a statement wey dem release yesterday. He explain say admission decisions no dey based only on UTME score, but also on many factors like merit ranking, catchment areas, quotas for Educationally Less Developed States (ELDS), O’level results, and post-UTME performance.

JAMB respond to complaints from candidates and parents wey dey talk say universities dey deny admission to students even though dem score high in UTME.

JAMB urge parents and candidates to understand say the admission process get plenty parts, and dem remind candidates say dem fit challenge any admission decision through JAMB official ‘ticketing platform’ wey allow inquiries and appeals.
