Federal Government don happy well-well as money wey Nigerians dey send from abroad don rise sharply reach $600 million every month for the past two months, na Central Bank of Nigeria talk this one.

Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, yarn say the increase show say people don get fresh trust for Nigeria economy and the new policies wey CBN put in place.

For statement wey NiDCOM spokesperson, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, drop on Monday, Dabiri-Erewa call the money wey dey enter “humongous,” say e don jump 200 percent from the $200 million wey dem dey get before.

She hail CBN Governor, Olayemi Cardoso, for reforms like the Non-Resident Bank Verification Number and better exchange rate wey make Nigerians abroad dey use official channel send money.

Dabiri-Erewa still support Cardoso hope say by 2026, remittance fit reach $1 billion every month.

She talk say NiDCOM go continue to connect with diaspora people through events like Nigerian Diaspora Investment Summit, National Diaspora Day, and Diaspora Youth Summit.

She also praise Nigerians abroad for their patriotism and trust, and talk say President Bola Tinubu government dey serious about citizens welfare both for house and abroad.

Meanwhile, for Delta State–Brazil Business and Investment Roundtable wey happen for São Paulo, Cardoso talk say the reforms don make exchange rate better and people no dey use backdoor again to send money.

He talk say the reforms don already push inflow from $200 million to $600 million monthly, show say confidence for Nigeria economy dey grow.
