Federal Government don launch new revenue platform, say dem go put Remita inside

Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) don assure public say Remita, wey Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) approve as payment gateway, go still dey work after di launch of new Treasury Management and Revenue Assurance System (TMRAS).

OAGF spokesperson, Bawa Mokwa, talk say TMRAS go integrate Remita with other eligible Payment Solution Service Providers (PSSPs) to open payment system.

The Accountant-General of the Federation, Oluwatoyin Madein, say di new platform go improve treasury management, revenue assurance, and budget performance for Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), plus Federal Government-Owned Enterprises.

Di Treasury Management and Revenue Assurance System don start yesterday with Phase One rollout wey cover Naira payments and collections. E go also deduct tax automatically from vendor payments. Phase Two go start June 1, 2025, to bring foreign exchange transactions, connect with MDA ERP systems, and activate budget module for non-budgetary MDAs.
