Minister of Power, Mr Adebayo Adelabu, don yan say di Federal Government get plan to increase power generation from 4000 Megawatts reach 6000 by di end of 2024.

As e dey tok yesterday when members of di Senate Committee on Power visit di ministry, di minister yan say di Federal Government get plan to achieve di 6000 megawatts of power by using hydro and solar plants to increase electricity supply to households and businesses.

E describe as unfortunate and sad, di situation wey di highest electricity wey dem dey generate now na only 5800 megawatts.

Di minister still tok say di Federal Government go transform di Electricity Distribution Companies, (DisCos), add sey dem na di last mile for di power supply industry, and if dem no perform, e mean say di whole power sector no dey perform.
