Federal Goment Launch Big Machine Fix-Fix Programme for Maiduguri

The Federal Goment don launch one correct programme wey go bring back to life plenty broken-down machines wey still fit work. The programme, wey dem call National Asset Restoration Programme (NARP), na big idea from the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), and dem unveil am officially for Maiduguri.

Vice President Kashim Shettima na the person wey commission the project for Borno State Agricultural Mechanization Farm Center. E talk say the programme na better way to stop wastage, cut unnecessary spending, and use local brain take boost Nigeria economy.

E beg Nigerians make dem take care of the machines wey go dey repaired, say this kind project go help plenty sectors and bring beta change.

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State talk say this project na extension of the agricultural development wey start during Shettima time as governor. E thank NASENI say dem choose Borno as pilot location, especially as the September 2024 floods spoil plenty machines for the state.

The NASENI oga, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, yarn say dem do nationwide survey and discover say over 47,000 machines don spoil but still fit work, and if government wan replace all, e go cost more than ₦14 trillion.

Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, still praise the programme say e go change the way we dey do things for farming and other sectors. E shock say out of 55,000 tractors wey dey Nigeria, less than 10,000 dey work.

After dem finish the launch, VP Shettima still go Borno State University go commission new power projects wey Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) build. The project include one 1×7.5MVA injection substation, high and low tension electric lines, and three 500KVA transformers.

This NARP programme na one big step wey show say Nigeria fit use wetin we get to build wetin we need, instead of to always buy new-new things.
