Minister of Works, David Umahi, don tell cement manufacturers for Nigeria say make dem reduce cement price because the current cost don dey affect government projects and dey make contractors demand more money.

Umahi talk this one during the unveiling of the new identity of HBM, formerly known as Lafarge Africa, for Lagos.

According to am, from July 1, Federal Government go begin serious discussion with cement companies to find solution to the high prices. E insist say manufacturers suppose lower their costs instead of expecting government to increase contract sums anytime cement price rise.

The minister say cheaper cement go help road construction, housing projects and ordinary Nigerians wey dey build houses.

Umahi also praise President Bola Tinubu for the ongoing infrastructure projects across the country and urge cement companies to increase production to meet growing demand.
