Rivers State Police don strongly condemn di beating of Ahoada-East Local Government Area Sole Administrator, Goodluck Iheanachor, and dem don invite im Chief of Staff come answer some serious questions.

According to di police, Hector Ekakita – wey be di Chief Security Officer and also di Chief of Staff to di Sole Administrator – allegedly waka enter di council secretariat on Friday, 20 June, with about 30 boys wey police describe as jaguda pipo.

Dem attack Mr. Iheanachor, beat am well-well, tiff im mobile phones, force am to sign letter of resignation, and even carry comot important documents – both official and personal ones – from im office.

Police say di Sole Administrator dey hospital now dey receive treatment but im condition dey stable.

Dis attack happen just few months afta Rivers State Sole Administrators bin dey appointed by Vice Admiral Ibot-Ete Ibas to oversee di 23 local government areas, as dem dey act in place of elected officials. Di sole administrators dey in charge of council matters like admin, finance, and representation.

Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, don visit di scene of di attack along with other top security officers for di state. E vow say dem go take strong action to handle di matter.
