Badagry Women Demand Lagos Governorship as Them Decry Long-Time Political Marginalization

Women leaders for Badagry don beg Lagos State make dem stop di long-time political neglect wey Badagry don dey face. Hon. Rafeequat Arinola Onabamiro, wey dey speak for Women Badagry Federation, talk say e dey hard to talk say Lagos dey fair if one important area never get chance for top leadership.

She yan say since 1967 wey Lagos State start, Badagry never produce governor nor hold any major executive position. She clear say na no be complaint, but na moral and correct demand for equity and inclusion.

Di group don appeal to top political leaders like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and All Progressives Congress leaders make dem dey fair. According to her, Badagry don always support APC and help mobilize people for politics.

She also describe Badagry as strategic gateway to West Africa wey get strong potential for tourism, agriculture, and trade. She insist say region dey important for Lagos and no suppose dey treat am like small area.

Onabamiro also criticize people wey dey claim say dem dey represent Badagry but no really connect with community. She talk say those people dey enjoy Badagry name but no dey share in wahala or aspirations of people.

Women insist say political representation suppose dey real, earned, and come from community. Dem highlight say good leadership need character, consistency, and commitment.

Dem show strong support for Badagry son, Samuel Mawuyon Ajose, say him don contribute to party growth and grassroots mobilization. Dem say him support for elections and Renewed Hope Agenda show say him fit lead.

Women demand say Lagos governorship suppose go Badagry to balance history and give justice. This na third time in less than two weeks wey Badagry people dey make same demand.
