Troops of Operation Hadin Kai don kill four top leaders of Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), including two Arab fighters, one commander and several other members of the terrorist group for Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.

Nigerian Army confirm say the operation happen on October 31, 2026, after ISWAP terrorists launch one serious attack on the troops’ locations.

According to the Army, soldiers of the Joint Task Force wey dem deploy to Kukawa respond to the attack and engage the terrorists with support from ground troops and aircraft.

Acting Military Information Officer of the Northeast Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai, Captain Mohammed Goni, disclose this development for one statement wey e release on Sunday.

Goni explain say the operation deal serious blow to the leadership and fighting strength of ISWAP.

Among the four top terrorists wey soldiers kill na Abu Hajara, one important member of the group’s Shura Council, and Abul Walid, one prominent commander wey dey close to Ba Shuwa, the overall Wali of ISWAP.

The other two na high-ranking Arab fighters wey dey operate with the terrorist group.

The military spokesperson add say soldiers recover plenty weapons, ammunition and communication devices after the encounter.

According to Goni, the successful operation show the readiness, alertness and stronger fighting power of Operation Hadin Kai troops as dem continue to put pressure on terrorist groups across the region.
