Olawepo-Hashim talk this one on Tuesday during interview for Channels Television programme, Politics Today, after dem announce Adeleke as member of All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council. Adeleke na the only governor wey Accord Party get wey people don elect enter office.
Olawepo-Hashim reject the idea say Adeleke position as the only elected governor for Accord Party automatically make am the national leader of the party.
E explain say to become governor no mean say person don automatically become leader of the political party wey e belong. According to am, na the party executive leaders get the responsibility to lead the party.
“Adeleke no fit be the leader. Na governor e be, and e benefit from the position wey e dey hold. When you get political party, you get executive, and na the executive leaders be the leaders of the party,” Olawepo-Hashim talk.
Adeleke win re-election as Osun State governor for August to serve another term, and e don continue to show support for Tinubu second-term ambition. But Olawepo-Hashim insist say Adeleke no fit dictate who people for Osun State go vote for during the presidential election.
E talk say the fact say Adeleke win governor election no mean say e fit force Osun people to vote for President Bola Tinubu.
Olawepo-Hashim describe Osun people as people wey get honour and strong belief in wetin dem stand for. E use the Yoruba word “Omoluabi” to describe their character, as e insist say dem get their own mind and dey make decisions based on wetin dem believe.
E maintain say even though Adeleke dey support Tinubu, e still believe say Osun people fit vote for Accord Party during the 2027 presidential election.
E add say, by the grace of God, e believe strongly in im position on how Osun people fit choose to vote.
The Accord Party presidential candidate also describe the 2027 election as one wey different from previous elections. E claim say plenty Nigerians don already decide say dem no go vote for APC and Tinubu.
E accuse Tinubu government of mismanaging the country economy, weakening national unity and allowing insecurity to worsen. E also accuse the government of showing little concern for the suffering of ordinary Nigerians, wey e say dey live inside serious poverty.
Olawepo-Hashim maintain say the way Tinubu government perform while e dey office go play an important role in the 2027 election, rather than the personalities of the candidates alone.
