A spectacular opening ceremony mark the start of Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, as athletes parade from the famous Champs-Elysees to Place de la Concorde under fine weather.

The first of 11 days of sporting action start on Thursday, with France hosting summer Paralympic Games for the first time. About 4,400 athletes from a record 168 delegations go participate in 22 Paralympic sports, dey compete for 549 gold medals in Paris.
