PETROAN (Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria) don announce say NNPC don reduce the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from ₦1,020 to ₦899 in Lagos, and ₦970 in other states.
The National Public Relations Officer of PETROAN, Dr. Joseph Obele, talk say the price slash na because of the competition wey deregulation don bring into the downstream sector. This price reduction follow shortly after Dangote Refinery reduce petrol price from ₦970 to ₦899.50 at its plant.
Dangote Refinery also don partner with MRS to sell petrol at ₦935 per litre at its retail outlets across the country. The refinery talk say this partnership go help bring down petrol prices for Nigerians.
In a statement, Dangote Industries Limited President, Aliko Dangote, thank President Bola Tinubu for the naira-for-crude swap deal wey help reduce the price of petroleum products in Nigeria. Dangote also say the new petrol price wey start from ₦970 to ₦899.50 at the refinery loading gantry go help Nigerians, and MRS go sell the petrol nationwide at ₦935 per litre from today, Monday, with Lagos already selling at the new price.
