Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Retail Limited (NNPC Retail Ltd.) don firmly deny the allegations wey dey circulate for social media say one fuel pump attendant dey force customers to buy lubricants or engine oil before dem fit buy petrol.

For one statement wey dem release on Sunday, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd., Olufemi Soneye, talk say, “NNPC Retail Limited don see the recent video clip wey dey make rounds for social media (especially for X) concerning one fuel pump attendant for one of our filling stations.”

The video show customers dey forced to buy lubricants or engine oil before dem go fit purchase or dispense Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), wey people dey also call petrol. The attendant for the video claim say na directive from NNPC Retail Management.

NNPC Retail don strongly refute these allegations, emphasize say such practices no dey align with the company’s Customer Service Charter. “We no dey condone any form of coercion or unethical sales practices for our filling stations,” the statement read.

Managing Director of NNPC Retail Ltd., Mr. Huub Stokman, also comment on the incident, reinforce the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction. “We dey dedicated to provide clear, transparent, and quality service to all our customers, guarantee say their needs go dey met without any recourse to unnecessary and unscrupulous conditionalities,” he talk.

NNPC Retail don urge the public to disregard the misinformation and report any such occurrences to the appropriate authorities. Dem don launch investigation into the incident, and NNPC Retail assure the public say appropriate disciplinary action go dey taken against those wey dey involved.
